Shift Supervisor

Requirements

• Inspects product to verify conformance to specification and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Recommends continuous improvement methods for production, equipment performance and quality of product as well as increase efficiency of shop and work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems and assist employees in problem solving strategies.
• Recommend & initiate employee motivation techniques to achieve work goals.
• Interact with other supervisors to coordinate individual department activities.
• Perform Job Duties of a Plater II.
• Estimate, requisitions and inspects material.
• Assists in employee performance appraisals and yearly evaluations.
• Maintains cleanliness of all shop areas.
• Adds specific amounts of chemicals to tanks as needed or as instructed by lab personnel.

Education
High school Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
