Four Divisions. Two Countries. One Standard.

KC Jones Plating operates plating facilities across Michigan, Indiana, and Mexico — plus a dedicated adhesive and sealant operation in Warren, MI. Each division is built around specific capabilities and markets, but they all share the same commitment to quality, process discipline, and customer performance. When your program needs redundancy, regional flexibility, or specialized expertise, we have the capacity and the certifications to deliver.

Michigan Plating Division

HAZEL PARK, MICHIGAN
Our Hazel Park facility is where KC Jones began — built on aerospace plating for programs where tolerances and traceability are non-negotiable. Being in Detroit meant automotive wasn’t far behind — we became an early supplier to the Big Three and never looked back. Today, Michigan runs the broadest process range in our network, the largest electroless nickel operation in North America, and Nadcap-accredited aerospace work that goes back to the beginning.

Started in aerospace. Grew up in Detroit. Still the facility where our toughest work gets done.

  • Rack & Barrel Electroless Nickel — the largest electroless nickel capacity in North America
  • Rack & Barrel Zinc-Nickel Plating
  • Proprietary Miccrolloy® Bronze coating — Nadcap-accredited for aerospace and defense

Michigan is primarily an automotive facility, serving as a Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 supplier to the industry’s most demanding OEMs. We’ve also worked directly with OEMs on development and production projects. Beyond automotive, our Nadcap accreditation and Miccrolloy® capability give us a strong position in aerospace and defense, where precision and traceability are non- negotiable.

Indiana Plating Division

COLUMBIA CITY, INDIANA

Our Indiana facility is built for versatility. With a broad mix of rack and barrel plating lines, Columbia City handles a wide range of automotive and industrial programs — from high-volume fastener work to complex machined components requiring precise nickel deposits. It’s a workhorse facility with the flexibility to shift between processes and volumes as customer needs change.

Centrally located to serve Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky — with the process
range to handle whatever comes through the door.

Mexico Plating Division

APODACA, NUEVO LEÓN, MEXICO (MONTERREY)

Our Mexico facility is the largest in the KC Jones network and purpose-built for high-volume automotive plating. Located in the Monterrey metropolitan area — one of North America’s largest automotive manufacturing clusters — this facility gives our customers IATF 16949–certified capacity close to their assembly and stamping operations. When your program needs scale, speed, and proximity to the Mexican automotive supply chain, this is the facility.

IATF-certified, high-volume, and located in the heart of Mexico’s automotive manufacturing base. If your program needs scale south of the border, we’re already there.

Adhesive & Sealant Division

WARREN, MICHIGAN

Most plating companies stop at plating. We don’t. Our Adhesive & Sealant Division applies Loctite chemical adhesive threadlockers and threadsealants onto threaded parts — fasteners, nuts, bolts, and CNC-machined components. This is precision chemical application at production scale, designed to prevent loosening, leaking, and joint failure in assembled products.

For customers who need both plating and threadlocking on the same part, KC Jones is one of very few suppliers that can deliver both under one company — reducing your supply chain complexity, lead times, and qualification costs.

Plating and threadlocking from one supplier. Fewer POs, fewer qualifications, faster turnaround.

Why a Multi-Location Partner Matters

Working with a multi-location supplier means you’ve got options. If your volumes grow, we can add capacity at another facility. If your program needs a backup source, we can dual-PPAP across locations so you’re never dependent on a single site. It’s built-in flexibility that most plating suppliers simply can’t offer.

  • Additional capacity: As your program scales, we can bring another facility online without requalifying a new supplier
  • Dual PPAP capability: Run approved production at two locations for supply chain continuity when it matters most
  • Regional flexibility: Production closer to your assembly operations in the U.S. or Mexico
  • Simplified sourcing: One supplier, one quality standard, multiple locations — fewer audits, less risk

Every facility operates under ISO 9001:2015. The processes, documentation, and quality expectations are consistent across all locations. Your parts get the same treatment regardless of where they’re produced.
