Plater I

Operates a plating line to plate various types of metals.  This includes proper job set up as instructed on process instructions. Is also responsible for keeping work area clean and safe.


  • Verify that shop paperwork is correct (piece counts and plating process instructions).
  • Review and sets up job per specifications.
  • Follow instructions and complete required documentation.
  • Complete documentation required in the plating operation as well as complete shop paperwork at end of plating process.
  • Responsibility of tank maintenance as outlined in the Prevention Maintenance Program.
  • Makes chemical adds to tank as instructed by Lab personnel.
  • Evaluates the quality of the parts to determine the accuracy of the application.
  • Able to perform job duties of a Racker.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work station as well as other areas of the shop as instructed by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as instructed by supervisor.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
